You’re in a relationship and you regularly sleep with other people.
Being in an open relationship always carries higher risk of HIV and other STBBIs. To avoid the transmission of HIV or any other STBBIs, it’s recommended that you use a condom – with all your partners. You and your boyfriend should get tested regularly. Same goes if you use a condom with your other partners, but not your boyfriend. It’s important to remember that if you don’t use a condom with your boyfriend or your partners, the risk of contracting HIV and other STBBIs is high. If you aren’t using condoms it’s extra important to get tested regularly.
If you’d like, we can send you a reminder by text or email when it’s time to make an appointment at a testing centre. Use the “Testing reminder tool” situated in the right hand column.
